Junior Hannah Lohmeier (left) and senior Somer Druszkowski (right) were both named to the
CoSIDA Academic All-America team in women's soccer. Lohmeier was a first team selection
as a defender and Druszkowski earned third team honors as a midfielder. Augustana now has
produced 160 Academic All-Americans all-time and ranks seventh in the nation in that
department.

Hannah Lohmeier (Waunakee HS, Waunakee, Wis.) and senior
Somer Druszkowski (Lincoln-Way Central HS, Manhattan, Ill.) were both named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America team in women's soccer, it was announced today. Lohmeier was a first-team selection as a defender while Druszkowski made the third team at midfield. It was the first Academic All-America selection for each player and it pushes Augustana's total number produced in all sports to 160.
Lohmeier, who had the game-tying goal on Wednesday, November 28 in a 2-1 overtime victory over 22
nd ranked Wheaton, as well as an assist on the game-winner, has scored three goals on the year. The midfielder was a key component on a Viking defense that allowed just 17 goals in 21 matches.
She was a first-team all-conference selection this past fall and started all 21 games this year. During her career she has started every game since she set foot on the Augustana campus in 2013.
The daughter of Heather Mabie and James Lohmeier of Waunakee, Wisconsin, Hannah is a biochemistry major with a 3.98 grade point average. A two-time academic all-conference choice, she has served as a research assistant in Augustana's chemistry department and as a tutor in human anatomy. Lohmeier is active in Young Life and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Druszkowski is a four-year starter and has twice earned All-CCIW recognition. She ranks in Augustana's all-time top 20 in goals (16), assists (10) and points (42).
She is the daughter of Cherie Druszkowski of Manhattan, Illinois. The three-time academic all-conference honoree has a 3.92 GPA in English and secondary education. Among many community activities with which she's involved are: Camp Kesem, for children affected by cancer; Opportunity Kicks, tutoring refugee children; Winter Coat Drive; Relay for Life and Special Olympics.
Augustana has long been a leader in the number of Academic All-Americans produced, currently ranking seventh nationally with 160 (regardless of division). The Vikings are third among NCAA Division III schools. Lohmeier and Druszkowski join former teammate Maggie Hoscheit (St. Charles East HS, St. Charles, Ill.) as the latest Augustana Academic All-American in women's soccer.
